D is a Dhampire or Dunpeal, a half-breed born of a vampire father (none other than the infamous Count Dracula who is literally worshipped by other vampires) and a human mother.

Outcast for his tainted blood, he has distanced himself from both humans and vampires, living a life of solitude as he searches for something to fill the void of loneliness he feels.

As a Vampire Hunter, D has dedicating his life to slaying vampires, but not all vampires, only those who threaten humanity and is respected for his legendary prowess at hunting the creatures of the night. He dresses in all black, wearing a wide brimmed hat and a long flowing cape, carries a long, slightly curved sword which glows blue when vampires are present and has the ability to catch arrows one handed.

D is reasonably good at controlling his vampire instincts for blood, but sometimes during a fight his vampire side takes control, the fangs come out and D always wins.
