A Moorish Immortal with a Christian name, Xavier St. Cloud first gained Duncan MacLeod's animosity by
killing MacLeod's friend Hamza el Kahir in Algiers in 1653. In the present day, Duncan encountered Xavier
again after Xavier went on a crime spree, robbing jewelry stores throughout Paris by poisoning the store
attendants (and himself) to death, then reviving and stealing the goods. When Duncan finally caught up to
him, he and Xavier engaged in combat. Xavier managed to escape, but Duncan did succeed in cutting off his
left hand. Duncan later encountered Xavier while Xavier was plotting with James Horton to weaken Immortals
with weapons fire so that Xavier could easily take their heads. Having neutralized Horton, Duncan was finally
able to engage Xavier in mortal combat. During the fight, both Immortals dropped their swords, and in an
ironic twist, the Highlander beheaded Xavier with his own sword.
